In his ebay add "one is not responding". Any idea what might be wrong with it? I can't find any specific specs on what's inside to "have it gone through" at GPA. I'm about a 90 minute drive from him and was considering buying them.

Best case? Bad input jack.

Worst case? Both drivers blown.

Expect the worst and hope for the best...

1200 seems extremely steep for a 411. That speaker had me scratching my head
the last time it came up. Seems to have been built with all left over parts from
other speakers. The xover was a simple first order band pass between 1200 & 8000.
How 101 can you get...................

The only hole in your view , Art, is what speaker was the crossover taken from?

Bear in mid the horn adds a lot to the mid bass.

Maybe as much as 6 dB.

I'd like to see curves and charts.

Because ebay went out of their way to make it possible by removing seller's ability to post negative feedback for deadbeat bidders.

In the old days you could review a bidders feedback and if they had very many negatives for bidding and NOT paying, you were privy to these bidders' potential failure to perform and could block them from bidding on your auction. It was a more level playing field and did much to encourage bidders to follow thru if they wanted to continue to do business on ebay.

Now, just like in the country as a whole, it's a deadbeat free for all.

Hear Hear !!! But still doesn't explain Why people bid on stuff they have "NO INTENTION OF PAYING FOR" I don't know do people get pleasure of bidding on other peoples stuff and NOT PAY,causing aggravation for people.

I think that many probably do intend to pay when they place the bid, but after a little time the reality and/or remorse kicks in. There are a lot of compulsive folks out there who get caught up in the bidding, their compulsion writes checks their account can't cash.

That's why they have no business being there in the first place.When you take into account that the seller then has to go through eBay to get refunds for final sale price and such and relist more insertion fees refunds it is a PIA for the seller.All my feedbacks say the same thing Quick Payment,Fast payment,Great Communication,etc.. I take pride in maintaining a 100% positive feedback on eBay or anywhere or with anyone for that matter.

So my point or question is still valid WHY ?? People need to take into account the trouble they will put other people through.And stop being selfish with their own compulsions.Correct ? I don't know that's how I think !! :2thumbsup:
